Overview
This document describes how POSboro collects phone numbers and obtains consent for sending SMS text messages to customers.
Message Types & Frequency
POSboro sends the following types of SMS messages:
- One-time verification codes - For account verification and order pickup confirmation
- Order confirmations - Confirming receipt of your order
- Order status updates - When your order is ready for pickup or out for delivery
How We Collect Consent
Customers provide consent to receive SMS messages from POSboro in the following ways:
1. Online Ordering
When placing an order on our website or app, customers enter their phone number and check a consent box.
2. Tableside Ordering (POS Tablet)
When ordering at the restaurant using our tableside tablet, customers see the restaurant name (POSboro) prominently displayed and consent to receive SMS messages.
3. In-Store Pickup Verification
When providing a phone number for order pickup verification, customers consent to receive a one-time code.

Required Disclosures
The following disclosures are always displayed when collecting phone numbers:
- Business Identity: "POSboro" is clearly displayed
- Message Types: "verification codes, order confirmations, status updates"
- Frequency: "Message frequency varies" or "2-4 messages per order"
- Fees: "Message and data rates may apply"
- Opt-out: "Reply STOP to opt out"
- Help: "Reply HELP for help"
- Links: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Response: "POSboro: For help, contact us at contact@posboro.com or visit posboro.com. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&data rates may apply."
Response: "You have been resubscribed to POSboro messages. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

- Consent checkbox is unchecked by default
- Consent is optional - not required to place an order
- Consent is a standalone step - not bundled with other agreements
- The restaurant name (POSboro) is clearly displayed
- All required disclosures (fees, frequency, STOP/HELP) are present
- This page is publicly accessible (no login required)
Data Protection & Privacy
- Secure Storage: Phone numbers are encrypted and stored securely
- No Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing
- TCPA Compliance: We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act
- Carrier Compliance: We follow all carrier guidelines and best practices
